Kristine Cormier will focus on how to enjoy being active with proper training and nutrition. Can be done till we are 100 years + as long it’s done correctly.
Thinking back to when I started being active was probably at the age of 10, when I spent all my free time at the rink next door to my house. I enjoyed being on the ice and practicing figure skating on my own. When my parents realized that I truly enjoyed the sport, they registered me into the local skating club and continued skating until I was 16 years old. I got to experience so many memories during my life as a figure skater some good and bad. Each making whom I am today, stronger and determined! One thing I learnt is if you fall, It’s OK has long as you get back up and keep going. My passion changed from skating to biking and the difference for me was that I could combine giving back to the community and be active, therefore my first event was the MS Bike Tour from Sussex-St-John-Sussex. As I continued being active and growing my network of friends, I was then introduced to triathlon. What an amazing balanced, friendly, community spirit sport!!!!! In triathlon, I can easily balance giving back to the community and staying active all year long. I want to continue to share my passion for this amazing sport, so I got involved with the TriNB Youth/Jr program and the Moncton local triathlon club where I can help all ages get a taste and enjoy it as much as I do. At the age of 50…I still believe in “it’s ok to fall and anything is possible” Follow your dreams!
