Race date – Sunday 03 August
Please find a link on the line below for your swim start time on Sunday morning
Swim times cannot be changed at this point but we can easily sort this out on Sunday. Our goal with the swim is to keep a continuous flow of people through the pool (we do this for our Hampton Ladies Triathlon and it works really well). Daryl & Ellen Steeves will be your contacts in the pool.
Swim caps will be provided at the pool just before your start time.
Please be ready to swim 5 to 10 minutes before your designated time as we usually find that everyone swims faster than the time they give us. There should be room away from the lanes to have a warm up swim.
Bring any questions to registration on Sunday morning as we are out and about collecting everything we need for the race and may not be able to reply to your messages.
There is an ice cream trailer parked in Centennial Park over by where Treego used to be and is now the basketball court in the main parking lot. They are opening at 9.00am on Sunday if anyone want’s to celebrate with an ice cream after the race before heading home. (at own expense).

Our goal is to introduce people to an off-road triathlon to create a fun, friendly race experience. The course will be suitable for those new to gravel riding and fast enough for those who want push on and ride faster.
What you can expect.
1) Swim in an outdoor 50m pool.
2) Non-technical gravel trails for the bike section.
3) Multi-loop run on a paved trail around a lake.
4) Staggered swim start times to reduce bike congestion on trails.
5) Provisional race distance is 500m swim – 15k bike – 4k run
6) Open to new and experienced triathletes.
7) Team’s welcome.
8) Race is open for Mountain Bikes, Cyclocross, Fat and Gravel Bikes.
9) Road bikes are not permitted.
10) Chip timed but only start and finish times will be recorded – no splits as race distances are non-traditional.
Triathlon is entirely within Centennial Park in Moncton – traffic free

Below is a park map for Centennial Park showing all the trails. We will be primarily using Firebreak and Lynx for our 2 loop bike route. More detailed maps will be provided when the snow melts.
Triathlon Bike Route Map
Turn by turn description. Essentially the bike route would depart the pool and follow Viceroy towards Firebreak.
Turn right on Firebreak and climb the hill and turn sharp right and continue on Firebreak towards the set of gates located before the maintenance yard.
Turn 180 degrees here and ride back down Firebreak until the trail narrows and turn left onto Lynx.
Follow the entire loop of Lynx for 3500m until it emerges back onto Firebreak.
Turn right onto Firebreak and ride up to the gates at St George Blvd.
Turn 180 degrees and ride back down Firebreak until it reaches Viceroy.
Bikes would either turn right to return to the pool or continue straight for a 2nd lap.
One full lap of what I have described above is 7.5k.

Run Route
Run – athletes would run down the hill from the pool and transition area toward the lake and would run laps of the lake (which is roughly 1k) depending on how far they need to run.
